Update
We are at the midway point with this little one growing inside of me. This morning we had another prenatal appointment and were able to hear the heartbeat. Good and strong! At the appointment we went over the results of the ultrasound. Everything is as good as it can possibly be. They were able to account for all of the major body parts, she is the perfect size, and no abnormalities. I’ve gained a total of 9-lbs so far, which they seem to feel is right on target for me.
We haven’t decided on names yet. It’s so hard with our last name and we want something unique but not too unique. Don’t want to make those school years any more difficult for her than they usually are!
Our Summer has been quite busy with travel and concerts. This little girl has seen more live music than most kids ten times her age! OK, so she hasn’t seen as much as heard but this little one will not lack in music exposure. Thanks to Joe’s friend, Cary, we saw Fountains of Wayne and Squeeze at the Greek this week…for free! What an amazing show. We all commented on how we thought that Squeeze may have been better than they used to be…they rocked the house!
We rubbed elbows with fellow audience members like Jason Falkner, Aimee Mann, Michael Penn, and Harry Shearer. You know you’re seeing a good live show when artists you respect are there to see it too.
Hello Monique and Joe,
I just learned from your parents, Monique, about the wonderful news of a little Popp showing up in December. Congratulations to you both. I loved your baby announcement - very clever, unique and fun to watch. I am impressed with your talent.
Take care and enjoy the pregnancy journey!

Mon Aug 20, 2007 at 8:41 amHi Monique-
Wed Aug 22, 2007 at 11:44 amThis is Chiara & Raquel’s friend Stephanie. I hope you don’t mind, but Chiara was so impressed with your videos and so excited for your pregnancy that she shared the link with me. I am truly so excited for you. There is nothing better in life than creating a life. You and Joe are blessed. The fun is just barely beginning…I hope you LOVE pink!
Blessings,
Stephanie
Thanks Nita! I have been enjoying this journey. Each day is something new.
Stephanie, of course I don’t mind! It’s great to hear from you. Joe and I do feel very blessed. I’m not the biggest pink fan but I’m prepared…my mom is! She’s dying to get a pink dress for this little one!

Fri Aug 24, 2007 at 5:12 pmHey - pink isn’t so bad… I never thought I was a “pink” fan (green is more my color), but since I’m surrounded by boys (even the dog & cat are male), I’m finding myself needing to connecting with my “girlie” side. Pink can be cool! With all the pink hand-me-downs that will be sent your way, you don’t have a choice but to get used to it
Fri Sep 7, 2007 at 4:03 amNo doubt! With all of those nieces we have the hand-me-downs are sure to come.
Pink’s not so bad but my mom liked to dress me in pale pink all of the time because she thinks it looks good on me. So it’s a joke between us.
We did get a few pink items at the first shower for her. They are very cute. I just want to make sure to throw in some black for good measure.
