I never thought I’d be excited to say those words.

We had another monthly doctor’s appointment on Monday and I’ve gained 4-lbs so far. This was the first time we’ve heard the baby’s heart beat, what a beautiful sound. We’re starting our 5th month this week and there’s no hiding my tummy now. With the exception of being tired most of the time, I feel great. I’ve started a prenatal yoga program from a video that I bought and love it.

I’m looking forward to a visit from my sister this weekend. She is coming down this way for a work conference next week and was able to have them fly her out a bit early so she can spend the weekend with us. I’m taking her shopping so she can tell me what all of the stuff at the baby store is. We may even use one of the pregnancy parking spots at the mall if there’s one available.

Time is flying fast and we’re diving head first into August. Next week we’ll see Guster at the Orange County Fair and then we head out to Colorado for Joe’s family reunion. I’m hoping the long drive isn’t too hard on me. I think I’ll bring my pillow and have Joe take the late shift.
