New Countertops
We just got the new countertops installed today in the kitchen. They are made of Silestone, a very durable quartz/man-made material that you don’t need to seal every year.
The color is called Amarillo Sand. They are a very neutral yellow color and they look so nice with everything else in the kitchen. Now, I’m waiting for the plumber to hook up the faucet and do some work under our new Kohler sink. I should be cookin’ dinner by tomorrow night!
We’ve been eating out for like 2-3 weeks straight! This is not the diet for me, let me tell you! I’m looking forward to getting my hands on some pots and pans to cook my man dinner done right!
Now…what to make?
Tonight and tomorrow we’ll be busy getting the house prepped for the exterior paint contractor that we’ll have starting this week. Anxious to see it all painted!

Wow- they are so gorgeous. It’s funny. I was drawn to the black countertops at first, but these are so much better - brighter. I can’t wait to see them!

Tue May 16, 2006 at 11:37 amThanks! We really like it…Joe asked if I feel like one of the chefs featured on the Food Network when I cook in there now. I admit that with a newer oven, new sharp knife, and those countertops….I kinda do! Maybe now I can start that cooking podcast that I’ve been wanting to do!
