Precious
I’ve had access to the single for quite some time, but recently purchased it (because I like to support the musicians) from iTunes. Precious, the new single by Depeche Mode, is a fantastic song that makes me oh so excited for the up and coming album. Which I’ve pre-ordered through iTunes, by the way.
Today I had to run down to a model home site in San Juan Capistrano but on my way home I heard Precious on the radio for the first time. I do love me some Indie 103.1. That station makes me love it more and more with each passing day. Hearing a song you love on the radio is awesome. Hearing a new single from one of your all-time favorite bands is fantastic! I’ve been pining for some new DM music…and I have to say that their albums haven’t been quite the same since Alan left the band, for me. I like a lot of their more dancier songs and Ultra (the last album) didn’t have a lot of that. If Precious is any indication, this album will hit home with me.
If you haven’t heard the single, what are you waiting for?
I have not heard the new single but I am excited to know that a new CD is coming out. This brings me back to the days when I was a diehard Mode fan and dated a guy for awhile that looked like Dave Gahan. He worked at my local gas station. I loved dating him because I would go to DM concerts with him and he would enter the Dave Gahan look-a-like contests from KROQ and our seats would always get bumped towards the front. He was a total loser but so cute. Did you ever go to any of those concerts?
Sat Sep 17, 2005 at 10:20 amI’ve attended quite a few DM concerts but most of them were in Northern California, where KROQ is not. I’ve seen them twice down here which was more recent but don’t remember Dave-look-alike contests. Sounds like something DM fans would do though. Always good to move up seats!
