Happy St. Patrick’s Day

Monique at 10:33 am | Filed under: Holiday, Musings

So I walked out of the house to go to work this morning in my tan pants and a brand new pink striped shirt. As I went to close the door I got to thinking about what I should make for dinner tonight. I thought about how it isn’t Friday so I can make something with meat in it (it’s Lent) because today is Thursday. Then I kind of did a mental back-up…and realized that I have corned beef in the fridge and today is Thursday, St. Patrick’s Day. Not sure where my head was this morning but I’m glad that it decided to join me.

Needless to say, I ran upstairs and quickly changed and then grabbed some celtic music with which I plan to torture my co-workers. They’re used to it by now.

Anyway, whatever you do this evening I hope that you enjoy yourselves. Happy St. Patrick’s Day! I leave you with a few of my favorite Irish blessings:

———————————————————————-

May those who love us, love us
and those who don’t love us,
may God turn their hearts
and if He doesn’t turn their hearts,
may he turn their ankles so we’ll know them by their limping.

———————————————————————-

Dance as though no one is watching you,
Love as though you have never loved before,
Sing as though no one can hear you,
Live as though heaven is on earth.
