Le Creuset!
Tonight I cooked a meal for myself, Joe, and our friend Pat. It’s just something that I made up one day…kind of a version of pot roast, but made with chicken and potatoes instead of beef and the other veggies. Anyway, I cooked it in the new 13-1/4 Quart, Le Creuset pot that Joe bought for me…for no occasion. He knew that I’d been wanting one and this pot has not let me down!
It’s a gorgeous red pot that is heavier than our cat Owen…and if you’ve met Owen, you know that’s mighty heavy! The pot is made from cast iron, which explains the weight, and cooks everything with beautiful color and taste. It’s so wonderful to be able to cook on top of the stove and then be able to put the lid on it and let it cook in the oven.
This thing is so huge that I think I could cook a turkey in it! Well, not this year, since we’ll be spending the holiday in San Jose. I’m excited since this will be my first Thanksgiving with my family since the first year we got married when everyone came down for Joe’s surprise birthday party.
Quality, Beauty and Function…these pots are worth every penny.

There is nothing in the world like a good pot… or is that some good pot… I can never remember! JUST KIDDING!!!
Would I have seen those in a shop at some outlet mall not far from San Diego? If that’s what it is, those are awesome! Having good cooking tools makes all the difference - and I spend a lot of time in the kitchen cooking for these 3 boys! I swear Aaron is starting to eat as much as a football player… and he hasn’t even hit puberty yet!
Oh… Mychal recognizes you by your picture now… it sounds like aunt MO-nique. He’s a riot!
Miss You!

I just noticed that Joe “bunted” the roof of his mouth (in the comment). I’d like to use that as a threat sometime!
