Friday Five

1. What shampoo do you use? My shampoo of choice is Sorbie, but we’ve been trying to buy a house and then I got laid off (company went under) so I’ve been buying Pantene Pro Vitamin.

2. Do you use conditioner? What kind? Yes, I use the same brand as the shampoo I’m using at the time. You can have really smelly hair if you don’t keep the scent of your products under control.

3. When was the last time you got your hair cut? I don’t even remember. I think it was in December. I have really long hair that doesn’t really hold a style anyway. I can go a long time between cuts…much to my hairdresser’s shagrin.

4. What styling products do you use? Sometimes I don’t use any…au natural. When I do style my hair I use a spray gel by “Back to Basics” and hair spray by Pantene Pro-V. I also love to use the Sorbie Leave-in Conditioner on the ends of my hair to keep the frizziness under control.

5. What’s your worst hair-related experience? I’ve got to win a prize for this one! I was visiting Joe down here for Spring Break back when we weren’t yet married. We went in his mom’s spa and decided that it was too hot so we had a brilliant idea to put the hose in the spa to cool the water down. Now, I’ve been around pools for most of my life and should have remembered that this would have thrown the ph balance off…but alas…I was blinded by love. I had recently had my hair highlighted for the trip and needless to say, my hair turned TEAL from the bottom of my ears down. I remember that I had my hair in a towel and when I took the towel off, Joe just looked at me in horror. He’s always joking around so I thought he was kidding…but then I looked in the mirror. Wow! - quite a new shade for me. Joe washed my hair all night long in the sink with swimmer’s shampoo and then he rushed me to a hair dresser to “shock” my hair with a blonde dye to kill the green. My hair was less green but completely fried by the time we were done. I had the last bit cut off by the time we got married…what a fiasco, but a funny memory!
